Hi listers,
I made some progress with the dictation feature that allows you to say
a word like “computer” and then give commands like open mail, or go to
beginning. Now, I can’t seem to get it to work any longer. I checked the
settings I could find and the ones I used to start it and nothing seems to
happen.
to start using it I went to accessibility in system preferences and in
the table found dictation and checked the box to listen for the key word.
If there is a way I may have accidentally stop it from working I’d be
glad for a tip on what I can do to get it up again. I was rather enjoying it.
I’ve tried unchecking and checking the check boxes in the dictation area. I
looked in sounds and it is set to automatic. I changed it to internal mic and
that made no difference.
I know it is a long shot but I’d thought I’d ask to see if this may have
happened to someone else and they have a suggestion.
