I suggest removing all traces of your iCloud account from the Macintosh and
then re-adding it. This is a bit extreme and will ask some questions about if
to save local copies. Since your plan will be to re-enable iCloud, don't save
local copies. There are account fields in:
1. Messages preferences
2 Internet Accounts under System Preferences
3. iCloud settings in system preferences.
