Yes, I pretty much agree with this evaluation. I do find that most of the items
in the that I want to use can also be found in the Menus. And any item in a
menu for a specific application should be able to have a KB shortcut assigned
to it in System Preferences. I have not looked at the scripting definitions for
Office, but if they are close to as rich as the Office for Windows scripting
definitions then a lot of ribbon commands can have applescripts associated with
them, and then be used in any of several ways.
1. VoiceOver commanders.
2. Speech Dictation commands.
3. AppleScript menu in the menu extras.
4. Used with keyboard macro utilities.
