Hello, Yes, these verification dialogs can be frustrating and if you are running an older operating system even non-intuitive, though I don’t remember exactly how.
Best thing to do right now is hold off for an hour or so before trying again. Then When typing in the security code even though there are 6 boxes the tool is set up to automatically move from box to box as numbers are typed. Also, I believe that on IOS devices that you can swipe right to get the next digit to input and don’t have to switch the rotor to character mode. Also, these security numbers have a limited lifetime so if it took you over a minute to enter the number that could have been the problem. The good thing is that once a passcode has been entered you generally don’t need to re-approve that device unless it is idle for aa few months or you reset the device.
