Hello Everyone, Okay, here is the scenario.
I am interacting with some websites that offer printer friendly versions of displays of their sites. For example, displaying a purchase receipt, a confirmation page, etc. More often than not, I want to save the "printer friendly" version of the form as a PDF but not necessarily send it to my physical printer. On my Windows 10 PC, as was the case in Windows 8, 7, etc, From within the print dialog box, I can select a virtual PDF printer. This would prompt me for a filename and then save the form as a PDF document, with the same page layout it would have, if it had gone to my physical printer. In Windows 10, the default built-in virtual printer is called Microsoft PDF Writer, or something like that. I would like to have the same ability on my Mac. Does anyone know of a free, virtual PDF writer for the Mac that will appear in the list of printers when one initiates the print dialog box? So far, all I can find on Google is how to save the current Safari page as a PDF but this is not good enough. I need to be able to click a print button that is embedded on a website and have a virtual printer be listed in my list of printers. Now I'm thinking that were I to install Adobe Reader on my Mac, I would get such an option but, before I do, I thought I would run it by you all. Any ideas?
