Hi Ramy,

To do a full format and re install
You will need an installer device,
Then you boot the machine on to that and then under disk utilities you eraise
the macintosh hd volume and then go back to utilities and start the new
installation.

This of course will whipe the intire system volume and all the data you have on
it.

As for time machine if you back up everything then you could also back up the
problems you have although less likely if your only backing up
data.-----Original Message-----

Subject: Making a fresh High sierra installation, but need my data, can i?

Hi all:

I noticed some bugs when using my mac-mini running highsierra, so, am thinking
of making a fresh copy.
if i will make a time machine backup, will it save all my files and apps that
are on my c drive? and is it suggested to use? i mean if i will do this, will
it be a fresh installation`? or i must kill my system drive and start
installing the system, then installing my apps from scratch?
also please, i can you tell me how i can for matting my System drive? it’s an
SSd drive.

Thanks in advance
