Thank you all for your answers to this. I have not seen the drive, because my friend doesn’t live near me. However, shortly after she asked me to post this on her behalf, she called me and said that she found a sighted friend who told her it was a USB-C cable. The USB-A cable was supposed to be included. They discovered a sort of pouch area of the drive that would come open and there was the cable inside. I’ve never seen a drive like that, and neither had she, so she didn’t even know to try and find such a pouch. It’s all resolved and I’m sorry for the odd question.
