Yes the touch bar is only available on the higher end Mac book pro models. There is a mid of road MBP with no touch bar, Uses the same keyboard as the Mac Book 12” Slightly lesser processor I7 2.5 dual core, Where as the touch bar model has up to a I7 3.5 dual core This is in the 13” models.
