Hi Brett,

I’ve just had a look with windows 10,
Jaws 2018,

Both google chrome,
And internet explorer,

I can tell you that chrome gave me nothing but IE 11 worked pretty well,

I had to use arrow keys to scrole down but using links and tab I didn’t get
great results but was able to get information to tell me about locations and
times for the campuses.

In most cases I’d say jaws and IE is ok, chrome had moments.

Hope that helps.

Hello Brett,

I’m afraid I have no idea about anything on a Windows PC. I’ve never used
Windows in my life. I’ve been a Mac user for 22 years and before that, I even
programmed an Apple iiE.
Cheers,

Anne

Thank you Anne for checking this out for me. Do you think or know if someone
using jaws etc. would have the same issue? I want to approach the devs with as
much info as I can.

Hello Brett,
As far as I can tell, this is inaccessible with VoiceOver. I got my sighted
husband to look at it and we managed to expand an entry, but the process was
very complicated. Once expanded, the contents were readable.
What happens is the mouse cursor has to turn into a pointer which can then be
clicked to open the panel.
I’ve managed to do it, but it’s very hit and miss. Here’s how.
In VoiceOver Utility, category Verbosity, Announcements tab, make sure that the
Speak text under mouse after delay: tickbox is ticked and that the delay is
zero.
Turn Trackpad commander off.
Navigate to the tabs and bring the mouse (VO-Cmd-F5).
Drag your finger towards you on the trackpad and you should hear each tab
announced in turn.
Double-click by pressing the trackpad twice.
Slide your finger to the left until you hear “Expanded”.
You should now be able to navigate with VoiceOver.
Cheers,

Anne

Hello Mac visionaries,

If someone has a moment to spare, I’m asking you to check out a web page with
VoiceOver. This page is the locations and hours for the Salt Lake Community
college Disability Resource Center. There are 3 tabs, Taylorsville Redwood
Campus, South City Campus and Jordan Campus. I’m told that visually selecting a
tab shows the info for the campus. I can’t read anything with VoiceOver after
selecting a tab. I’m wondering if the info isn’t seen by VoiceOver or is there
a setting or command I’m not aware of to read the text. The link follows.
