Like you, I have a nest thermostat. I’ve had it for years. If Nast added HomeKit support I would stick with Nest and probably upgrade. But I’m considering the ecobee as well. I really would like control via HomeKit and Siri. Everything else I have is controllable via Siri.
I have several automations, like went to turn on outdoor lights went to turn them off if somebody approaches the house at night to turn on certain lights. And then of course he seen that shut everything down. And all controllable by Siri, or the Home app on my phone. And everything was easy to set up.
