Hey, Mark, No need at all for an apology. I completely understand that from where you're sitting, it probably is fascinating. But after spending hours re-pairing and trying to troubleshoot this, it's long since lost it's fascination for me. :)
I have been thinking about what you're suggesting, though probably not an Apple store. I've really enjoyed having function keys again, so Apple probably will not have a solution that will bring me joy. I'm thinking I may start by trying to contact Logitech support and see if they have a solution. In the past I've liked their keyboards, so I'm thinking along the same lines as ET, that this particular keyboard may be defective. I'll keep the list posted.
