Dots 1-7 with space, followed by a letter, issues the command key in 
combination with that letter (e.g., dots 1-7+space, q issues Command-Q). If you 
look up the key assignments under the displays tab of the braille options in 
VoiceOver Utility, you'll find braille display key combinations  for the 
control, option and shift keys as well.
