Hi Tim, Yeah not worried about the no home button or face id, Either one works fine for me, Face id is probably now more of a benefit
If I had one thing that makes me question which device to go with then it would be the size, The mini I can put in a jacket pocket or hoody pocket, The pro I’ll need to keep it in my bag which I do now with my MBA But a bonus with e pro is I can charge from it to my other devices.
