That is a temporary work around. That is not an acceptable solution though. Please don’t let dropbox tech support lead you remotely to that as a possible solution. Especially when you are able to do this independently on other platforms.
I would start the process by asking for an update regarding this since as of six months ago, it was escalated to engineering for a fix. In the meantime, Phil’s suggestions if you don’t want to wait for Dropbox to get back to you, are absolutely doable.
