Well, I really do not feel that is the source of my problem, unless the
phone is set by default to over ride system settings for the rotor. I
feel reasonably sure it was not involved when the voice option was
changed.
Thanks for the idea though,

Well not really, it is more of a quick navigation tool. So you can make quick
changes to some of your settings without having to go into the system settings.
I remember when I got my first iPhone I couldn???t work out why one would
need the rotor, but now I use it every day.
If it turns out that the voice got changed through the rotor you can uncheck
the language option in the rotor settings once you have your default voice
back. But you can cross that bridge when you have restored Daniel to his
correct place.

I cannot safely use this iPhone with its current voice. Its frequency will

not something I am comfortable risking, but will save the idea.
I take it the rotor over rides the system settings?

Well if you wanted to try yourself? To use the rotor you just place a thumb and
first finger on the screen about an inch apart and turn it like you are turning
a knob. Sorry, if you already know how to do this but I just read your first
email and you said you hardly have any experience using the iPhone.

Hi there,
I am sure that was not done, unless it is the default for the phone.
I would think the default voice would be speaking if there is only one
language.
Will add the idea to the pile for someone to try.
Thanks!

Hi Karen,
I???m thinking you may have changed it in the language settings in the rotor?
I have Karen as my default voice on my iPhone but I have other voices I can
choose with the rotor, but Karen will stay as the default voice. If you know
how to do the rotor gesture then see if you can find the language setting and
then flick up or down to choose your voice.
Hope this helps,
Petrus

Hi all,
I have in my possession an iPhone 5 c, model a1532.
I am told it is running ios 10.3.3
Freely owning I have almost no experience safely using the phone, I am
wondering how to address this problem.
a grand while back I discovered that Daniel might be a possible safe voice for
me, asking someone to set this voice as the default in preparation for more
testing. Recently though I turned on the phone only to find the voice changed
to some female voice that is not safe for me. This afternoon then I asked a
person to check if the default had changed, it still says Daniel is chosen, but
the voice is not his.
I am told going into where voice changes are made makes no difference because
the voice is already chosen.
we did have to reset the date, but that should not impact the voice.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Karen
