More grist for the mill…What I’m observing, regardless of turning iMessages 
off/on on both devices and restarting, is that the only conversations that are 
updating are those that have been used since I got the Mac and iPhone so-called 
synchronized. All other conversations are still stuck way back in time. They do 
not update to the newest messages, regardless of what I do. So I don’t consider 
this to be a working process.
I do have my messages set to keep forever on both devices — wonder if that is 
part of the problem? Intuitively that does not seem correct. History should 
ensure that all updates are the same on all devices. I think Apple dropped the 
pie on this one.
