Hi Dave, >From what I have experienced is that lately each time there is a new Mac os >version that is released they come out with a new Vmware version to go with it. If you wish to keep your Mac on an older release for a year or two you can get by with keeping the old version kicking, but at this point they seem to get released together and upgrade together. This is why you may think there is an annual license when technically there is not with this version. Enterprise versions though are a completely different thing.
