I didn't think the size was unreasonable. I have slender wrists and
sometimes prefer a woman's watch, but I can wear a man's watch comfortably
and found the dot comfortable to wear. I have a hard time with jewelry in
general but I never felt compelled to take the watch off and put it back on
as I usually do when wearing a watch. The fact that I was engrossed in my
phone while walking around the office may have had something to do with that.
As for dirty hands, that would be an issue with any braille watch, but I
won't have a talking watch under any circumstances.
Best,
Erik

Hello,
just to add a very very personal thought: I considder the Dot Watch as not
very pretty and way to big. So you should take a look before buying it. And
take in consideration what you’ll do if you eat finger food and you want to
know the time or read a message.
All the best

Hi, I tested this product last year when I worked for an access technology
company. At that time the quality was not what I expected in a $500
product, but was steadily improving.
Pros: comfortable, convenient, easy to use, cross platform compatible. The
dot watch is really an outstanding idea and functionally works perfectly.
Cons: Only four cells. I would prefer the display turned sideways wnd an
extra cell fitted. This is to do with the fact that the average word in
english is 5 letters long. Considering grade two braille, you can pack a
lot more info on the display with 5 cells than with 4.
Scrreen protecter is a very important feature, but made the dots slightly
not as nice to read.
Dot firmness. You had to be careful with tthe dots on the model I tested
last year as they could be manually pushed down by a finger and then would
take a while to come back up.
Personally, if I had a choice between a smart watch like the apple watch or
the dot, I would take the dot hands down. Having said that, and
considering the price point, I hoped for more features onboard the watch
such as excelerometer, gps, fitness tracker and more. I know there are
people using apple watch for health and it's having an enormous impact.
So, I want the dot to have fall detection, heart, oxygen, and blood sugar
monitoring, and so on. I don't need any of these features. I just really
like the watch and really want digital braille on my wrist, but I'd love to
be able to recommend it for more than a high end digital time piece that
reads smart phone notifications.
Best,
Erik

Hello everyone. I am looking for opinions on the Dot Braille Smart Watch.
It is a smart watch that you can pair with your eye device, and it has a
for character braille display. There are plenty of YouTube videos out there
about it, but I am looking for someone who has seen it or purchased it, and
can give me an opinion on its durability and how it works. Thanks.
