Hi, yes sure, you can leave the phone at home. On the other hand the speech quality isn’t as good as using an iPhone. And beside music streaming there’s not much you can do with 4g. I love my Apple Watch but not because of the 4g option. It’s included in my mobile plan but I wouldn’t spend very much if it wasn’t. All the best Jürgen
