Hi, I've noticed a similar sort of thing where the notifications must be actually cleared instead of ignoring them and going to the Home screen. Like Phil, I'm not sure if this is a bug or intentional. There are some benefits to this, but I kind of liked it when I could just clear them quickly by going directly to the Home screen. I often now will clear or dismiss them using swipe up/down when on the Lock screen to get rid of them. It's not consistent as to whether they remain, or at least certain kinds of notifications react differently sometimes.
