Hi James,

Thanx for the suggestions but: I can't find any option to select that usb 
should be the preffered way to connect a external device with Isync.
in the prefferences 

It's version 3.1.0 (585.0) of isync.

there is also an old device selected to synchronize  in Isync but I can't 
remove it.
