Thanks for the interesting information.
this iPhone was originally associated with a mobile provider, given to
me by a colleague who had no further use for the device. In Canada
mobile providers are required to unlock devices for free..although they
did try to lock the phone to themselves at first.
Will keep this item as far away from my mobile flip phone plan as possible
for now, especially if I can use the phone for things without a plan.
