Hi Tim, Thanks for the thoughts, but we are both safe. I wish we could say the same for those people that were exploring the Island at the time. I was wondering if Auckland might have gotten some of the Ash blowing over but we got spared that as well. I do remember being able to see the Island from the shore when I was a kid and thought I’d rather not visit it. But then I live in Auckland which is built on volcanoes.
