Hi,

You need to configure this during the account setup process. You cannot simply
change the account from POP3 to iMap as far as I know. So, normally, you make
sure first that your eMail provider supports iMap for your account. It would
be very unlikely that they don't, but it's worth a check. If they do support
iMap and it is enabled for your account, then just go through the Add eMail
account process on your Mac making sure to select iMap during the process. You
can have both an iMap and a POP3 account going at the same time if you wish. I
would only do that temporarily though while you verify that everything is
working properly and if you wish to create mail folders and such for the iMap
version of the account. You can move messages from one account to the other as
well if you need to populate the iMap account with saved messages stored
locally on your Mac.

HTH.

Hello all,
I am having an issue setting one of my mail accounts as imap rather than pop. I
create the account but no where does it let me select whether it is imap or
pop. It just automatically sets it as pop. Does anyone know how I might change
this?
