Hello all. I wish for some help from this list, however, I am not sure whether or not anyone can help me.
I want to do audio typing for a company in due course, but the files they would send me would be MP3 files I think. As you know, these days, people do not send recorded material on cassette’s. They would send you an MP3 file. What I would need is a foot pedal, where you can pause when somebody is speaking in order for you to type it into a computer. So does anybody know what I should do with regards to a transcriber kit. They do have such things on Amazon, but they would want over £292. I don’t want to spend that type of money as yet, because I am not sure whether or not I would get the job. But it is worth a try to get the job and if I can get the job, then I would want a transcriber Kit. I have jaws and Windows 10 on my laptop, also using macOS Catalina. So anything that works with both things will be good although I would prefer Windows 10 because they would want Word doc files. I have spoken to somebody via email, and they are interested in forming a Braille transcription company etc, but my main thing is getting a Transcriber Kit which is accessible with voice over and Windows 10. I have spoken to various people but I don’t have an answer as yet. I do hope that someone can help me or tell me what I should do. Thank you very much all for your help.
