Tim, Yes, they shouldn’t be anything that is a “stay resident” application. And the only apps running besides Finder are Mail, Calendar, Messages, and Textedit. I did run the Activity Monitor to see what active processes were running. Most seemed to be kernel items but one I was not sure about: Windows Server. It was not using any CPU at the time. Not sure if this is due to me having File Sharing set to ON. I am finding that regardless of what’s open, The sequence is always the same: VO+M, Menu Bar, VO+M Extras Menu, VO+M focused on app, VO+M empty Extras menu. To clear this, I exit and return to the app with Cmd+Tab. And then always, I get a “Finder busy” announcement after the first VO+M press before the Menu bar appears. If I hit escape from the Menu Bar, I can always get back to the Menu Bar. It is only if I open the Extras Menu that I cannot open the Menu Bar again without switching out and back to the app. Something that the Extra menu is doing causes the Menu bar to not appear, and the Extras menu to e blank. Like it never really shuts down completely.
