Try using *.zip for your search,

I must admit though I can't remember what they use in unix as a wild card
anymore,
Windows uses * though and it should have a similar state in what you are using.

Subject: Searching a specific folder for a specific file type on the mac

I have been trying to figure out a way to do this for awhile now, since they
changed the search function. I want to search a specific folder and find all of
the files that end with .zip. I can not make this happen. It seems like it
should be possible. What am I not doing correctly

Thanks for any help.
