Hi Dave,

It's still the same as I outlined. Books in Catalina are all within the Books
app now. In Mojave and below, yes the audio books were in iTunes and eBooks
were in the Books app. This is no longer the case though. I, too, use an
audio book app to create some of my audio book files. In Catalina, with Books
synced in iCloud are downloadable to my iPhone in the manner I explained.

So, for example, let's say that I used AudioBook Builder to create my Game of
Thrones audio book. As part of the process, it is added to my Books app.
Since my Books app is checked to sync to iCloud, then that book is now
available to download from iCloud. On my iPhone, I double-tap on Library from
the tabs at the bottom, I make sure that the Collections includes audio books,
then I should see Game of Thrones in my list within the Library and can
double-tap to download it to my iPhone for reading.

Hope this makes sense.

Later...

Tim,
I download MP3 audio books from my library’s web site via . Then I convert the
tracks into an audio book using audio book binder. Then I paste them into my
“automatically add to iTunes” folder. Then I sync with my iPhone or iPod.
Without iTunes, what would be the way to paste them into the audio book player
on my iPHone?
