Get with your benefactor and check which model it is and see if the
5 is running the latest version whcih will be either 10 or 12. And maybe
you can contact engineers at Apple who have the answer you crave.

Oh one thing about how I personally manage this auditory processing
experience is doing my homework. The frequency range, impedance,
sensitivity, etc,. all of that information is common and I know how to
choose safe headsets.
However the source i. e. the voices themselves, if they are muffled poor
in pronunciation, lack clarity, etc., that should exist somewhere as
well.
I have yet to get a clear relationship to changing a device and voice
quality. if it is as you say unknown when voices were upgraded, how
would changing a device that is supported make any difference?
One reason why I am asking about when voices were last upgraded is
indeed to learn if there is a relationship.
from what you say, there is not a relationship between improved voice
quality and new phones.

I don't suppose you will find a headset that can be tailored to meet
your needs. In other words, one that can be set up as a sort of filter
to 'change' certain frequencies.
As to whether any of the voices have been 'upgraded', who knows.
Find a carrier or seller who will give you a 30 day trial/money back
deal.

Apple support assisted me and the person here at the time, using
this phone, to create an apple id and log in successfully, or walked
them through it.
Apple accessability, in the same session, suggested downloading siri.
If the 5 series was no longer supported, why would they assist me
otherwise?
During this test we discovered that Daniel as it existed makes me
dizzy.
Which is why I asked if the voice had been upgraded, its last
upgrade, in
more current editions of IOs.
