Hi, I have my ATV set to sleep after 5 hours, and screen saver after 15 minutes I believe. Turning your TV off at the same time is normal if your TV has HDMI-CEC enabled. With this enabled, which is on most newer TV's, pressing the Home button to wake the ATV should power up your TV and putting it to sleep should power down both as well. My TV is about 14 years old, but still works great, so it does not have this sort of control. My Yamaha receiver though does, so I only need to power up and down the TV separately.
