Hi, There are keywords that help Siri to be more accurate. Words like “album”, “Playlist”, or just being specific. So, asking Siri to play Back in Black by AC/DC may have her just play the song, or it might make her play the entire album. It just depends on how she feels at the moment. Alternatively, if you specifically ask Siri to “Play the album Back in Black by AC/DC”, then you’re more likely to get the full album. Guaranteed, if you create a playlist from the album, and ask her to play that specific playlist, then you’ll get what you want. The oddities really start happening when you ask her to, for example, play the best of Bryan Adams. If there happens to be an album with the same name, it’s a toss-up whether you’ll get the album, or just whatever Siri, or some other dude thought were the best songs.
It’s not an exact science, but it’s better than getting up off the couch sometimes. So this morning I asked Siri to Play the Album Ronnie James Dio this is your life and it played it straight off. Maybe Anders should try asking Siri to Play the Album British steel by judas Priest and see if it gets it right. This may not work but I think it’s all in the way you ask Siri sometimes. I tried it on a couple more Albums I have in my Music Library that hasn’t worked in the past and made sure to start my request to Siri with Play the Album, such and such and it worked every time.
