The processor in the MacBook Pro smokes the processor in the Air. If all you want to do is email and browse the web, then go for the Air. If you want to do real work, there is no substitute for the MacBook Pro. Just don’t waste your money on the bottom level MacBook Pro with 2 USB-C ports and the 8th generation processor. If you are thinking about that one, you should go ahead and get the Air.
