Donna,
Is this a new issue?
granted I have never used Kindle in any form, but that sort of display
situation seems well loopy.
Do not many students use the app for textbooks?
makes me wonder if Apple might be the better place to complain. granted
I may be incorrect but does not a company have to get Apple's okay before
they can state their program works on Ios or even the mac?
If so, given Apple's accessibility commitment, can they refuse such a
designation if the application does not work well from an access
standpoint?

I had the same experience Karen describes. I called them to report that books
don't display properly in the Kindle app on IOS. It's like all the formatting
stripped, and the text reads in one giant line with no paragraphs or chapter
headings or anything. The tech support person was very nice, and said he would
submit it as a feature request, but nothing has changed.
Cheers,
Donna

Not personally surprised the so called captcha solutions have been
nonfunctional for several months now at least.
My conversations with Amazon indicate their disability team exists to put items
in carts, not to address correct or impact any aspect of inclusion at all.

Hello all,
Recently, I had a bit of a go around with disability support on amazon.
Essentially, I was confronted with their captcha system when trying to get the
app to log in. After the password was accepted, the captcha came up and I
tapped the audio alternative, only to be confronted with a page that stated
“the page you requested does not exist”. After calling amazon customer support,
I was told there wasn’t anything they could do about this currently.
So, are there apps on the App Store that anyone knows of that can read a
captcha and solve it? I tried finding a few, only to end up with a lot of
search results for image rendering, editing and the like. Not one single solver
in the bunch.
Honestly, this is very frustrating and the fact that amazon is so big that they
feel they can flout the law makes it even more so. Any suggestions or help
would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Eric
