I tried to find a online manual, but I don't think your vendor does this. It 
appears you are using a DSL line am I correct? That would explain your mention 
of PPOE. PPPOE  is often used with DSL to connect to the DSLAM. 
How many large phone style connectors (RJ-45 8 pin) are on your router, and do 
you have another device that provides WiFi?

It is possible that your Macintosh can talk PPOE, I haven't tried in quite a 
few years, but if your Mac talks PPOE to the DSL line then no other devices in 
your home will be able to connect. In the US, the ISP's are often fairly good 
at helping customers get their systems connected as long as the customers did 
not buy routers from from a store, but used ones provided/sold by the ISP.
