Hi Everyone, Those of you who are interested in UNIX like command lines, in particular bash, but are afraid to jump in with both feet, you can get a book introducing the basic concepts from GNU (www.lpf.org). The print version is $20 but, at the Libre Planet conference this past weekend, someone said it either is or will be available as a PDF download.
I saw a presentation on the command line by some of the people who worked on this book and learned quite a lot that I had either never learned before or had forgotten over the years. I will send the URL directly to the PDF version of the book soon. Happy Hacking, cdh On Mar 24, 2010, at 1:22 AM, Sarah Alawami wrote: > I'm trying to change to a directory in my home folder.
