You can delete your friend’s old email address from the Previous Recipients list. To access this list, do the following: 1. While in the Mac’s mail app, go to the Menu Bar > Windows, and arrow down to Previous Recipients, and press Enter. 2. Once in the Previous Recipients dialogue, VoiceOver focus should be in a Search edit field, where you can type the first few letters of your friend’s old email address. 3. Now, press the Tab key, or VO + Right Arrow to the list of Search results, where you should find your friend’s old email address, and maybe other search results. 4. When you have located the address you wish to remove from the list, press the Delete key.
That’s it. - Brad - On May 19, 2021, at 00:01, Kevin Gibbs <[email protected]> wrote: I just received a message from a friend who said her old e-mail address was hacked and to use a new one. As a test, I typed her name into the To field of Mac Mail on my Mac mini running 10.12.6. the new e-mail address appeared as the first option. But the old address was immediately below it. I know I can listen to the e-mail address being read to make sure I choose the correct one. But I would prefer to hose the dead e-mail from my options. There are several such cases where dead or misspelled e-mail address appear as options and I’d like to remove them from this dropdown but have no idea how or whether it can be done. Ideas?
