I would have to experiment to truly understand what this is doing today. Also,
I don't think this would resolve your initial question.
My understanding of the question is that you want to create MP3 files from a
standard CD and use these files in a program other than Apple Music on an IOS
device .
Though I believe the alternative of using a distinct group in Music where these
tracks would not play when you are listening to music might be effective.
Closest thing I can think of to this was when I received audio book on CD and
then went into the info pane for these CD's and Mass changed their Genre or
type to audio book and then made sure the CD title for each CD matched and that
I marked the disk number also.
This certainly worked for me when Books and Music were both integrated into
iTunes, but I have no idea now.
If these are close enough to books, I suppose the other option would be to
create a pub or daisy book and then import directly into the reader application.
