Hi.  The way I've been doing it requires a few steps, but it does work.
I've been using mac the ripper, to extract the vob files from dvd.  If you 
select a single title, it will rip that tile to one vob file.  I then use mpeg 
stream clip, which can pull the audio from the vob file, and save it as an aiff 
file.  At that point, I can encode it just like any other audio file.
I would just use handbrake, but I hear it is very slow.  Plus, not sure if you 
can just rip the audio.
If there's a better way to do this, I'd love to hear.
