An e-SIM may be an option in some cases, too. If you travel internationally, obtaining a SIM card from a local carrier for the duration of your stay is often better than paying what can in some circumstances be very heavy roaming charges from your existing carrier.

Maybe I got some bad info about it being locked to the carrier that way. Even if it is I suppose it doesn’t matter if you’re happy with your current carrier. Still trying to figure out what the advantage of buying an unlocked phone is, Since if it isn’t locked then you could swap out Sim cards all day whether you bought a phone with your number transferred or the “unlocked“ version.… Probably going to buy a new phone well my money still has purchasing power.
