Hi,

If you’re doing this on your iPhone, then double-tap on the event to open it, 
then swipe through the information.  You should hear an item that says “Alert” 
followed by whatever the alert parameters are set to.  “None”, of course means 
that there are no alerts sent.  “10 minutes before” would send an eMail 10 
minutes before the scheduled event.  There are actually two alert items so you 
can have an alert sent the day before as a reminder sort of thing as well as 
one that might be 10 minutes or half an hour before.
