Well, unfortunately, many of the portable players simply don't support .ogg.  I 
have no idea why, because, as you pointed out, it's open source.  However, it 
might be a memory thing or, whatever.  I am not that knowledgeable about 
encoders, but, I do know that a lot of portable players lack .ogg support.
