Personally, from my experiences, I would recommend you get a true hotspot from your provider. This will have several benefits. One, theree is only so much those phones can handle when it comes to data transfer. Checking email and basic web surfing is ok, but try anything like Zoom, and you might find you’ll have breakups and a warm phone. Getting a router will save your phones battery and give you a better signal. the other is that you should be able to connect your Echo devices and they should act the way you would expect.
