Yes, forgot about pressing that combination twice in quick order. There was a legacy extension dialog. That reminds me that I've heard messages previously following upgrades, about some Oracle support due to be removed.
Wonder whether this might be leftover from my playing around with Virtual Box? I can't think of anything else I've installed that was using Oracle anything. At least the annoyance is gone!
