You have a system dialogue on your screen.  You have to hold down VO and press 
F1 twice to bring up the window chooser.  If you haven’t changed your function 
keys, you will need to add the FN key to that.  Then down arrow to where it 
says system dialogues and press enter or VO space and arrow to the actual 
window and press VO space or enter again.  You will then be able to dismiss the 
dialogue.  That beep is alerting you that there is a system dialogue on the 
screen wanting your attention.  Trust me I’ve had this happen several times, 
and until I asked on a WhatsApp group I’m on, and someone told me, I didn’t 
know either.
