Agreed. FineReader works well on the Mac. But its not moral to buy
products biult in China either. Where to draw the line?

Hi All (Once Again),
I’ve decided to install an OCR app on my Mac Mini, but in searching for
such software via “App Store” I find a quite confusing list of choices.
I realize such preferences are highly subjective propositions, but I
certainly would appreciate suggestions as to which OCR app will “Fill
the BBill.”
Of course, anyone offering a suggestion will want to know what my
criteria is, suffice it to say my top criterion is accuracy. Beyond
that, cost is certainly a prominent consideration. I’ll put it this
way, if an extremely accurate OCR app runs around $50 I’m OK with that.
I do not want a $3.00 app that is lacking accuracy.
And one final consideration, I want to be able to link the app to
readily open various image files (JPG, IMG, etc).
