I almost missed your reply because it wasn't top posted. :)
I have a suspicion its not a server error. I have a Microsoft 365
subscription on Windows and an Outlook email account on Windows, Mac and
iPhone as well. Error is on both Windows and Mac now.
What started this was MD Word on Windows gave me an "unregistered"
error. In an effort to correct this, I tried to deal with it in my MS
365 account. I've tried to backtrack this to no avqail. I will sign into
my Outlook account and see if things look right.

I think so. Any client software you use it with should report an error
message fairly quickly if not. You can definitely access that address
via the Web (and work with mail from there if you have an Office 365
"work or school" account).
