Hi, I actually just went through this process. I chose the Emerson Sensi ST55. It is a smart thermostat that will connect to Alexa and home kit. I decided on this model because of the favorable reviews and it has physical buttons. I’m hoping it is the best of both worlds.
Yes, you can control it via the iOS app. Some buttons are labled weirdly, but useable. I have found the scheduling to be a little challenging, but I think I’ll be able to do it. Honestly though, I like the simplicity of changing my temp on the fly.
