Open the dmg, interact with the volume then select and copy with
command -c the application file and paste it with command-v to the
Applications folder. On the desktop select that volume and eject it

I’ve read all sorts of stuff on the web, and they say how simple it is. Just
drag the resulting app to the applications folder. Really?
Here’s what I’m experiencing:
1. Command O on the .DMG file
2. A finder window opens with just to entries
One is Applications, and the other is the name of the program I’m installing.
3. Also, on my desktop I get an entry (must be a volume) with the same program
name.
4. So do I just do a Command+c to copy the program name item and
Command+Option+V to paste it to the applications folder?
Doesn’t do a thing.
What am I doing so wrong?
