I’m using Thunderbird 115 under Linux. Its accessibility has clearly been improved over prior versions, and the developers have indicated an ongoing interest in implementing accessibility-related enhancements. I can’t comment on Mac OS-specific accessibility. Mozilla rewrote their Mac accessibility API support recently; perhaps Thunderbird now benefits from this rewrite, as it’s based on a more current version of Mozilla’s Firefox code.
