I'll certainly take another look at Brew, though a few years back it was definitely missing packages I wanted. I mostly run server services and I think MacPorts will probably always have the edge in that regard because it's much more prickly about getting system users/groups/permissions right on directories owned by that software, e.g. OpenSMTPD for an MTA. But I'll have another look for sure.
